A condom acts as a safety barrier between your penis and your sexual partners, mouth, vagina or anus. Condoms can successfully block the transmission of STIs (including HIV) between sexual partners. Condoms also catch a mans semen to help prevent unwanted pregnancies for heterosexual couples.
Condoms are considered to be the only contraceptive methods that will protect against both STIs & against unwanted pregnancy.
Condoms are made from a wide range of materials that can include, latex, animal skin and polyurethane.
Condoms come in a vast range of different types. These types can include textured condoms, flavored condoms in addition to a range of other types, fits and sizes.
If you do not wear a condom correctly its effectiveness drops drastically. The right size, fit and how they are worn are all important factors in a condoms effectiveness.

Condom Use & Safety.
When using a condom during sexual intercourse, it is always prudent to follow a few hints and tips that can help with condom safety, as well as helping reduce the risk of contracting an STD or causing an unwanted pregnancy, some of these safety tips are as follows.
Always check the expiration date on a condom wrapper before using. If the condom has expired, do not use it.
Condoms should be stored in a cool, dry place, not in a wallet.
Never use a condom if there is visible damage to the wrapper or the package looks like it has already been opened.
Do not open a condom with scissors or other sharp objects, you might inadvertently puncture it, rendering it useless.
Ensure that the condom is worm the correct side up. If you make a mistake, dispose of it and try another.
Wear a condom before you penetrate your sexual partner and remove it as soon as you have ejaculated.
Never re-use a condom.
Do not wear more than 1 condom at a time. 'Double Bagging' causes friction that might tear both condoms.
Use lubrication with condoms and always use a silicone or water-based lubrication.

Poppers (although exciting to use for many during bareback sex) dilate a person’s blood vessels in the rectum, this in turn increases blood exposure during anal sex, especially during ‘rough’ sex or when practicing ‘fisting’ followed by bareback intercourse.
