If you believe that after engaging in unprotected bareback sex with a partner you may have been exposed to an STI it is important that you visit your local health departments sexual clinic or your general practitioner for testing as the earliest possible time.

Signs & Symptoms of STIs can include the following:

Fever or chills.
Genital bumps or sores.
Genital or anal pain, burning or itching.
Pain during sexual intercourse.
Pain or burning sensations while urinating.
Pelvic pain.
Swollen lymph nodes in groin or neck.
Unusual penile, rectal or vaginal discharge.

Because STIs have different incubation periods and windows for showing signs and symptoms of infection, you may be required to take several tests over a course of days or weeks to ensure that you are free from STDs.

Early detection of STIs and STDs is important to avoid any possible further complications.

Bareback Sex Tips.

Abstain if you think you may have an STI.

While getting an STI is serious, thankfully it isn’t as serious as it once was and most STIs can be treated with a course of medications. During this time abstain from sex with others until you have been given the ‘all clear’ by your medical professional. Spreading STIs around your community is not something you want to be ‘known for’.
